A day in Antigua

Today our team left the childrens home and traveled to Antigua, Guatemala for a day to recuperate and experience some guatemalan culture. We went to Casa de Santa Domingo (a 5 star hotel and restaurant) for brunch, off to the Cross on the hill for some sight seeing, then spent some time in the Capuchinas convent, a ruin constructed in the 1700's. After that we had ice cream and went shopping in the market followed by a wonderful dinner with friends and missionaries that are living in guatemala. FYI, Rick is feeling much better.

Day 7 - Last work day

Howdie faithful followers, today was the last work day. We wrapped up painting, cabinet and bunk bed projects. Made "Black Cows" aka root beer floats with the kids and had a despedida (farewell ceremony) during dinner. Here are some photos:

Day 6

Hey ya! This week has been going great. Rick has been struggling with a mild stomach bug, so pray for his healing please! Lots of great times with the kids and projects to complete. here are some photos!
